Today is the first day working in the woodshop since my accident.

I made a pattern holding jig for the router, I fasten the pattern to the jig and then use double sided tape to hold the wood to be routed.
Here's a few pics, of the jig and some slingshots I routed out.
One is complete all but buffing, it is made of oak and walnut. The others are made from Baltic Birch plywood.

Dang - if I injure my fingers will I be able to build as well as you?
That's kinda like the question I ask the doctor while he was stitching up my fingers, I ask him if I would be able to play the banjo, he said he didn't see why not after they healed up. I said are you sure, he said yes. I said that's terrific, I couldn't play one before.

Good to know your injury has finally healed. Good looking router work. Glad to see you figured out the FUG plan.

I like your router jig. Had similar thoughts, but didn't make mine quite that fail safe. Still tons of caution to router safety. Even with safe jigs, I still wear good leather gloves when working with my router.

I made a few FUG's before l got it to where it felt good in my hand. I change the angle of the handle three times and made a few changes to the overall size before I got it to feel good.

This may be a stupid question but here it goes, how did the slingshot get the name FUG, and what does it mean?
