OK I want to try to sand down and finish a natural fork
But as normal I don't have a normal " Oak "
I have a
Japanese maple
And the dang thing looks like a piece of bamboo which I do not want to lose I don't know what Japanese maple looks like once you sand it all down and get rid of the bark i'm just thinking Japanese bamboo kind a look like it will it ruined if I takeoff the bamboo look can I just Sandown and keep the green bamboo look and color put in band grooves and is there a certain lacquer to keep it on there that are just my hand oil stuff
And since you guys work with this stuff you might know that Japanese maple is the most gorgeous wood inside get rid of the bark right away or good idea here's how to do it also this piece is dried do I need to soak it in some kind of oil or something do I what's my next step I don't want to just start sanding on it cut forks to whatever I thinks right and look at it I want to know is there supposed to be A certain angle that they're cut a certain size just asking for a little help I've been reading been watching I do better if I can just read what's going on right here
Would steel wool work to keep the grain The bark make it shiny is it even feasible to keep the bark or will it just come off
