I just got my flipping pickle on the mail this Friday and saw Hunter on YouTube feeding his Mr pickle so i thought id post what my pickle was eating, from 7-8m with 9.5 steel one shot!! The can was whole when i hung out up, one shot you guys! Poor thing never stood a chance haha. What you guys run on your pickles? This is 3/4-1/2" BSB.55 i will probably lighten it up but this set up changed my opinion on the power of .55 elastic it just certainly slaps and I'm not talking about your hands lol works very very well with 11 and 12mm steel also cheers guys!! Pickle Power!!!!!!

Dang, that's fine shooting.

I've been feeding mine 1/4" steel with 1632 single tubes on tabs.

Fun, fun, fun... that's what picklin' 's for.
Hey Pat, how are those tabs working out on that flippin pickle? I'm having a heck of a time getting tubes to stay put on this little shooter. In fact, I'm finding it to be extra effort just to keep bands from slipping. I even tried double sided tape, lol.

I may give tabs a try. Are they just leather pieces cut and tied like bands?

Thanks from another Tennessean!

Hey Johnnyvol yea they are, sorry to but in before Pat but i just started playing with tabs myself, you can use old pouches cut in half if they're a decent size or whole pouches folded over the tip or leather cut specifically for a tab, you can even use paracord or other tubing material you just tie on like normal

Mornin' - I have the SS pickle and was also having problems getting the tubes (1842 slipped into 1745) slowly slipping on the fork. I was using typical latex scraps, but watched a video from Dgui, and he uses office rubber bands specifically #64's. So off to Walmart, picked up a bag of 64's and a bag of 32's for the pouch end, and haven't had a problem since. Total purchase price: $2

I saw that video as well. Haven't been anywhere to pick some up but had the #64's on my list. Good to hear it helped with slippage.

Also in that video Dgui is using a tubing protector he mentions he got at Target. Anyone know what the item is he is using?

What I think he was talking about are tubes that you put on a lead pencil. I have used pencil grippers and some ballpoint pens come with tubular grippers on them, but those can be hard to pull off, but they work fine.

I thought I heard him say they were something like six feet long and he cut them to length. He's on here or the other forum, maybe I'll message him and ask what it is.

Johnnyvol - I gave you some wrong information. My PFS bands are 1745 slipped into 5080 tubes. I got the 5080 tubes from GZK, 1m for $4. Maybe that's what Dgui was talking about perhaps. Sorry for the mistake - I'll just blame it on my old brain.. :)

So i took a hint from MakoPat and took those butterbands off and threw on some tabs and some 1636 butterfly tubes and it is shooting very nice, the BSB were great but a much heavier cut than i initially realized I'll save that bandset and use it for hunting, with that in mind i didn't want to go too light with 1632 tubes but i didn't want to slap on some 2040 or 1842 and have the same problem as the BSB which was wayyy to much power for plinking and target shooting as i shoot various sizes of ammo i needed something that would be good all around and right now this 1636 is perfect light enough to where i can really work on my technique and shoot my clays (9-12mm the only brand I've found to be consistent in size is the simpleshot clay, that stiff is great!!) But still heavy enough to zing some 11-12mm steels! Another reason i like butterfly shooting i can compensate for ammo size and weight by adjusting my draw between partial, 3/4 and, full butterfly!
