I know how you felt as I loose a lab every ten to 12 years. You can't replace em, just start over.
They love their job and that's to take care of us.

I've watched it several times and showed it to my wife. It's a fascinating story. We had a Dane, funniest dog we've had so far. He's just come in and sit down on the couch like he was waiting for his tea. They are so huge that they just don't live long.
They're like the class clown for 8 years.
