Thought I share my own private grove of desert Eucalyptus. As you may have guess our selection of forests and trees are limited. Unless of course you can pull a sling out of a Joshua Tree. Some of you watched me pull an Angry Rooster out of this private forest while I learned to hack-a-sling. Then the Lengua Del Diablo just happened, and now I found this blowdown today in the Grove. It is a younger piece, and it going to end up tiny I suspect. If you like a Tiny Natural Nibbler then please let me know! I've got my eye on some lovely pieces still stuck to the trees. If we go into another government shutdown then I am going to do my part and come prune these trees!

Thanks for enjoying my sunny but chilly day!...52f......brrrr, long sleeves baby!

That nibbler is stunning - that grain is fantastic.
I feel like such a nut all for staring at the grain out in the sun for the last half hour. Like watching a bonfire, or the ocean. Is it because it was once a tree??

Sometimes we surprise ourselves and it takes a while to accept that we actually made something really cool. Also, you are into slingshots. That by definition makes you a nut. ;) Sweet piece!
