And the question is: How the hell does one shoot frameless? I have a tube band set up. How do I hold the band set? How do I aim?

Well I not the best but I hold the tube with my middle and ring finger and my fork is index and thumb. . I kinda aim between tube and top of nail on my index . I am sure J5 or the chef have vids on utube they explain better than me . Just start small 1632 tubes and bb but them little bb still pack a good sting with a hand hit and u will hit your hand trust me .

I held mine the same as port boy when I shot frameless. I dont anymore. Im no weekling but it hurt my fingers and made my thumb feel hyper extended. So you need really strong fingers.Start with light bands. I dont know if you want to shoot this way all the time, but I used to carry the set up in a little leather pouch with BBs when I went in public places that people might not really appreciate a full size slingshot. Try looking up sling rings. Youutube is going to become your friend.I did a lot of parking lot shooting waiting for the girlfriend to get done shopping.

I just got turned onto frameless or "bareback" rigs and shooting by Ray Rowden ( a.k.a Kawkan) by him sending me three in different strength bands.....I am now hooked on frameless rigs......Tks again

I shoot the same way, but find small frames have the band in order for me. Less fumbling around. I do keep a frameless with my Leatherman. Flats of coarse. But turtles fit so nice in a shirt pocket.

I think I figured it out:

It took 76 shots (hits and misses), but I got it! I also wore a notch in my thumb, but I got it.

The above videos are great! Like everything else it's all about preference. I tried shooting frameless like the above, but I couldn't do it. I kept getting hand hits. Im a dedicated pfs shooter and I shoot frameless pfs. I do not split my fingers apart, this works better for me. I'm just weird like that lol!
