Hello fellow slingshotforum members.
My name is İlkay, i am from Ankara, Turkey. I am completely nuts about stuff like guns, airsoft guns, bb guns etc. While stumbling on the internet i saw a youtube video made by Jörg Sprave, and long story short 30 videos later i was really curious.
I came here to check what the hype was all about and found a what seems to be very nice community dedicated to sharing information and experience about Slingshots. Thank you for reading.

If you wouldn't mind waiting I could cook up some photos of some local talent. Not to rain on your parade but in my country there is a strong culture of machismo and slings are mostly seen as toys, and as such used by 13- 14 year olds tops. And as a result of this you can not find any good sling worth a thing. But fret not, my uncle and I, two adults often seen as weird ones in the family have made some handmade slings from steel and some common woods. Although they can't be described as elegant, they did the job. Anyhow, when i visit my country house on new years eve, I will try to take photos of some of my stuff. Until then...

Sounds great Ilkay. Unfortunately we have the same misguided perception in the US, though there are some people who are not afraid to admit we love slingshots! Please do remember to share your slingshots with us when you have completed your New Year's holiday.

Welcome!!! I look forward to your pics as well!!! Fortunately, I found that most who like slingshots aren't ruled by what others think of them.
