Fellow Slingers - help me decide.

I am anguishing over whether to purchase a Pocket Predator SERE, Pocket Predator Tac Hammer, or Simple Shot Hammer.

I am not a hunter. This is for plinking and paper targets with marbles and 3/8 steel shot. Also not interested in launching arrows, so the SERE conversion plate and the ability to mount a whisker biscuit to the Hammer does not count in my consideration.

Leaning towards the Simple Shot Hammer because I enjoy wrist braced slingshots. But I also enjoy non-wrist braced. Which one would you buy and why?

Also - is there another hammer grip slingshot that I should consider instead of these three?

Thanks!

Thanks Roy - Pebble Shooter also recommended Saunders Falcon-X. I know that Tex influenced Saunders slingshots.

Question for PS and RL - Is there something about Saunders that is different from wire-framed slingshots from Daisy, Barnett, and Marksman?

Thanks!

I have the simple shot hammer. I like it. It isn't my favorite slingshot, I like small pocket size slings, but the options are just crazy. Honestly though, if you are like me, it'll nickel and dime you to death. I started with just the basic in an ocularis fork. Little by little I got one thing or another until I had all of it... everything available. It was not cheap....

It is just so customizable.
With all the accessories, I pretty much have 3 hammer slingshots. A standard fork, an ocularis fork, and a pocket shot, plus all of the Slingbows stuff.

But if you know what you want and can resist the urge to buy accessories, it's pretty nice and not too expensive. 9 times out of 10, I use it with the standard forks, and the band clips, with the handle that doesn't have a brace.

And I guess they're on sale right now. Under $40 on the simple shot site.

...The Saunders design has an excellent flat band attachment system, with an optional fiber optic "Pipper" sight that can replace one of the inserted band attachment blocks, so no fussy external addition - see here:

NB - The Barnett "strike-nine" and "Black Widow" slingshots have steel forks that do not pass through the entire grip section - as I discovered when I disassembled my old "Black Widow" slingshot a few years ago. Not a very convincing setup from that point of view.

Saunders products for this type of design are superior in every respect.

I like the attachment method and their bands I mostly shoot smaller stuff but I always shoot ten shots a day on my pro wrist rocket it's very accurate and I keep it to thwart coyote activity. The pouches are specialized but I like them cause they last a long long time. For just regular target meditation I stick with my g-10 boyshot!

Wow, hard to beat the value on the bundle that Wisconsinconcepts linked, or the other bundle sales going on at simpleshot!

A couple of the things I like about the Pocket Predator TacHammer are that it accepts FlipClips, like the Hammer XT, but the TacHammer is 100mm wide as opposed to the 113mm width of the XT. If you end up going in the direction of a TacHammer PM me, I have a black one in perfect condition that has not been getting any attention since I started shooting with the GZK TTF Hammer. https://trade.onloon.net/detail?itemId=cb1095d697e54f128ec0d6a66702dd4e. Perhaps another one to add to the list. :)
