Hey lads, I have been busy the past few days practicing my sling making skills and decided to try my hand at wood slings and hdpe. I was fortunate enough to get a sheet of color core hdpe for the cheap (3/4" thick) and also picked up a good amount of Baltic birch (12 mm thick all the way down to 3msm thick) and made a few slings. The wood slings are some of my favorite designs and wanted to experiment with color staining. The red and purple one is my pocket flipper, like the way it came out and first wood sling I made, the green and blue is also super comfy and live the way it came out. Both are 12mm thick and plan to make more at 15mm thick. The same design can be seen with the hdpe ( I call it the meanbean shape) along with my very first attempt of making my "slinger" design. Came out well and each time I make one, my cutting and finishing abilities get better. Finally, the newest design, made with color changing plastic and a glow in the dark rocker hand, is a nice smallish ttf design, I'm not a huge fan of ttf but I am digging this design. I think I am going to call it a "pocket witch". I plan to make a lot more wood and hdpe slings and hopefully can get some circulating soon. Excited to start making wood slings and stuff. Eventually I want to combine everything and make some unique stuff.
