I cant seem to post any photos including one for my profile. I am always told that the pic is too big. I don't know of any way to resize them. I have a Mac if that is of any help.

Please any help will be welcome as I am wanting to post my first home made slingshot.

I use photobucket, always have. Never an issue with spyware. It's a pretty self explanatory site and allows users to upload images is a few different sizes. For posting pics on forums, I choose the "IMG" links.

Can you post the exact error? You can post up to a 5MB picture (which is huge by the way) anywhere on the site, regardless of the resolution. Your profile picture has a resolution limit of 200 pixels wide and 400 pixels tall. If you need to resize a picture, you can use this tool:

the reply I get says in a box for each picture I am trying to post; "upload skipped (this file was too big) 2mb max.

Ahh... I found the problem. It looks like my current host wont allow uploads larger than 2MB. Lets try a couple things. First, try going into your "My Settings" and click "Enable Flash Uploader". If that doesnt work, try resizing your pictures using the link above. Resizing them to 1024x768 is generally a good size. Here is another link:
