i'm a bit late to the party(i'm 70), never got into catty's when i was a kid, but i saw one of those slingshot rifles things on allied express so after a bit of research i got one. Its big! Its accurate, its self loading(40 shot), i'll put a link to it at the end. BUT its not really a catty, although its rubber powered its more like a legal gun. I do like it and dont regret buying it but now i want a proper catty lol.

Welcome! You're the second Bristol based member to join in the last week or so.

Some highly coveted frame makers/retailers around the UK - getting into the sport should be simple, affordable (and pretty quick)

Check out -

https://www.waspslingshots.co.uk (great prices for quality)

Also look for HTH on facebook - and obviously loads of stuff on eBay UK

Whiteturbo - welcome. It is never too late to act like a child! I'll be 66 in a couple of months and make some time to play several times each week. I find that playing with slingshots, shepherd's slings, and archery all elevate my spirit - which is critical as we age.

Cool slingshot rifle - it looks like a lot of fun. Slingshots of all persuasions are welcome here. There is a very active slingshot community in the UK and some greater builders.

Looking forward to reading more posts. There is lots of information here. Everyone is very supportive and the only dumb question is the one that you do not ask.

70 YEARS OLD! Young whippersnapper... I was 72 when I began again after a 58 year hiatus. I'm now 76 and can hit a bottlecap at 10.5 meter 7 out of 10 times, (with a few of my favorite cattys) due to the knowledge gleaned through this forum. Go to the Pocket Predator site and watch the 'how to shoot' videos. Go also to Simpleshot and check out the 'learn section' for tuning bands. Not that you won't find those topics covered well by members of this forum.

Welcome, enjoy every moment in this gift of life.

Welcome to the forum. I am one of the oldest members (80) and I have really enjoyed the forum and getting into slingshots. I got interested in slingshots about five years ago now and I am having as much fun as I did when I was a ten year old.

I have never seen one of those catapult rifles before. It's wild.
