Yes it is. How can a bushcrafter package a homemade MRE in the wild?
When I’m In Survival mode I eat fresh Bugs and small game, vegetables and plants. They taste good and are good protein. Any mre I ever ate was crappy 🤣

Leaves, I guess. Or hammer down some tree bark. Something like that.

edit: this stuff may last a lifetime, so my thoughts about pemmican always were: make it, store it, eat it when you need it. Make a lot of it in advance, before tshtf. Like, being prepared. But I hear you, it's important to learn some basic skills. I will read through your stuff and print the most of it. It's very useful, thank you.

you could use bamboo (if it is in your area) to make tube containers. maybe carve out a box from wood and make a tight fitting lid? Just some random thoughts :)
