Hi all. I've just bought one of these:

I'm a tad confused re aiming/shooting this. Can anyone steer me towards a site that explains this specific catapult? I imagine it's sold by a fair number of outlets. It comes with a small red filament that i'm fairly sure needs to go in a wee hole in the centre but it just falls out.

Any pointers/advice appreciated.

Look at this image from your link above.

Though some shooters do shoot upright and might utilize the center aiming point you are having issues with, it appears, from all the top sighting adornments, this can also be shot "gangster" style.

Gangster style is where the slingshot is held as in the above referenced image. You sight along the bands and can also use the sights.

Just search you tube; there are a myriad of videos showing how to aim and shoot a slingshot.

Lastly, I know the ad says stainless steel, but you better make sure. A lot of those Chinese slings are zinc and very prone to breaking. Just search zinc here on the forum and you will see.

You can put the sling in a vise and then use a rope or such to pull and try to break it.

Since you are in the UK, I would recommend checking out WASP slingshots. They make great products and they are very reasonably priced. If you are like the rest of us, you won't be satisfied with just one sling. Cheers
