I hold mine angled so as to point with it. I realize how it looks but I get zero hand, finger or fork hits.

I'm new, so I haven't come up with "THE" hold for me yet, but right now the only way I can hit what I'm aiming at is to hold the slingshot in my hand 90 degrees to the side (my hand in a position as if I were grasping a horizontal rod). The vertical line through the slingshot body is perpendicular to the path of the projectile. I do my best to make every possible angle, twist, tilt, etc. exactly 90 degrees (that's the engineer in me!) I then line up both bands so that to my eye they appear as one (one band is directly over the other). This gives me a good left-right sighting line with the bands. For vertical sighting, I use the top fork.i hold mine with my wrist locked at a 90 degree angle

Personally, I hold the shaft gently in the left hand with thumb and forefinger over the top and give it a little wrist action at the moment of release.![]()

be careful, maybe hits your hand and finger when you use the shooting attitude.I hold mine angled so as to point with it. I realize how it looks but I get zero hand, finger or fork hits.
