I got slingmail .... In person!
The devils son in law, Jake and I, both live in Michigan. He contacted me and said he and his family would be visiting Marquette, so we got to meet in person! He said he had a few things to help me out with bands and pouches.
Well let me tell you, he's the nicest, most generous person I've had the pleasure of meeting in a very long time.
I was not expecting to meet him until tomorrow afternoon, but hopped in my car when he called and we visited outside by where they are staying.
I was just floored when he gave me all these goodies!
Thank you so very much, Jake. You are such a nice person and a real credit to the slingshot community. I am overwhelmed by your generosity and once I get going with my slingshot journey, I will do what you asked. That is, pass on slingshot items that I no longer use or are extras to another person just trying to start out.

It's an unfinished piece that Jake thought I would enjoy working on.
I'll be honest, I was so overwhelmed that I didn't absorb what he told me about it. I thought he was just showing me some useful tools and some projects he made himself. My brain was stuttering when I realized he was gifting me all those other things. He told me he had pouches and band material for me which I was thrilled to receive. I wasn't expecting all the other gifts!
There is a synthetic layer between the two darker pieces. I have to hit him up for the info again.
