I just added a Benjamin Fortitude in .22 and it is one great little gun.

It is shooting JSB 15.89gr Pells in the 835-845fps area and shoots them well. I have the gun sighted in at 45 yards and I'm about 1.5 high at mid range, on at 45, about 1 inch low at 50 yds, and ~ 3.0 inches low at 60.

The gun is very quiet and darn accurate. The only thing that is bad (but fixable) is the trigger, mine was 6.5 lbs. got it down by a trigger spring change (ball point pen spring) and a putting a screw in back of the trigger which took out the first stage ... now I have a "semi" crisp 2 lb trigger that I can live with. (About as crisp as a plastic trigger can be).

Perfect gun for starlings ;- )

Yep, sounds like just the thing for starlings. Nice job on reducing the trigger pull. Should really help tighten up your groups.

I recently got into airguns myself. They are a great option for getting in some quality trigger time, while staying under the radar from all the hand-wringing, anti-gun nut jobs.
