Need to get some distance and weight experiments done but looks promising.

My whole arsenal of pub darts! I got a lot of damaged flights that can be used for experiments. Won't mess with the brand new stuff, expensive precision tools!

I suggest using cheap nylon shafts and made in china flights for your experiments, that aluminium is quite heavy, will throw off your balance at such length.

Edit: There is one short stubby aluminum shaft suitable for this, for flights get the Slim flights. The longer ones get bent very easily.

I'll try the nylon shafts. I got this whole kit for 10 dollars. Came with 30 flights and 15 shafts. I think I'm going to split the shafts of my skewers and slide the flights in directly. That might be a idea.

You know if you take and cut a foam wadding and put a dart with fletching in front of it when you shoot the wadding will act as a cone dart flys out and wadding will not go any where.

I'm sorry I cannot picture in my mind what you're explaining. Maybe like a sabot?

I've never thought about a wad pushing the dart from the barrel. That opens up so many new possibilities. That last picture is interesting also. How do those fly?
