these two were therapy frames, the PFS was an oak fork i split for a knife handle, but the grain patterns were just to pretty to hide,so it went thru a transformation and became a fun project that shoots well to,the larger frame was a fork i found, huge and ugly, but it felt good in my hand when i picked it up to throw on the pile, and then that night i saw Mo's post about his *shin-ken* shooter and started reading the *online dojo* post and epiphany time,it all fell into place with answers from several members here about the quality of crepe myrtle,i got out the knives and started whittlin, and this is what showed up,there is some interesting grain patterns and colors to this wood, very subdued but there, the biggun feels like an extension of myself and shoots like none of my others.
