So I had this fork laying around my house for the longest time and i decided to carve it up and see what I could make. I ran out of the semi gloss polyurethane I normally use and now that I have got this much higher quality professional grade urethane WOW! The results are STUNNING to the eye, I am not even sure the pictures do it full justice but this thing looks like it is coated in glass. I am REALLY happy with the turnout of this fork other then the obviously few tool marks left behind at the base where forks split, One day I will get it PERFECT but this fork still is stunning to me. I hope you enjoy the included slingshot porn
Great job, good looking fork. I use Minwax poly shades. Adds alittle color with a super high gloss finish. 3 to 5 coats with steel wool between coats.

You dont even know, I am a JUNKIE! I have made copys of most of the production slingshots offered here (no offense to any of you vendors but I am not a rich man and I get a thrill making copys from just looking at a picture) I would never post them for sale or show them off unless a vendor wanted to see them but it is what keeps me addicted, I have a giant box full of extras ive created in hopes that one day someone local may get the bug and i can hand them a free frame to give them the full blown pandemic.
That really did come out nice. Do you know what kind of wood it is? Did you stain it? I prefer the gloss poly (oil based) adds a nice color and depth to the wood.
Sorry Rob I did not understand what you meant, But no chips or cracks in this baby!
