last 2 for awhile

last of the wood and metal sanding till i get new filters for the respirater,these cloth *dust* masks are worthless,anyway i beleive its oak,very old saw cut and very hard,not sure what the second frame is called i'm just going with PBPFS-paint brush pickle fork shooter-since thats what i based the design on,lol

Those finished up very nicely. You can just about see the density of that old oak in in photos.

By the way, thanks for the build photos. They are always appreciated.

Looks like he is soaking the sling in a zip lock bag of linseed oil.

Nice work - oak is rock hard - that frame will be very stabile ! Hey, what's that cutting/edging tool in the lower left picture - looks really interesting.
