I know olive oil seems good on everything but it does go rancid... though I doubt you would get much oil on a pouch for that to be a factor?
I probably would have reaced for a regular automotive or home furniture leather conditioner or cleaner?
Leather may get sticky due to build-up of gunk and sweat on its surface coupled with some wearing through. So what it might need is a good clean and conditioning nourishment - but with the right products...
Pouches are meant to be consumable items but warrior pouches last so long I can understand getting attached to one. But when it is time to say goodbye to one, it's time....
