Would linatex be a good material to use for a young child's general purpose slingshot for use outdoors?

For Rocks or anything?

From what I have read it's good and durable. Has a unique feel to it, very stretchy.

How is the pull on this though? Okay for a young kid to draw? Thanks

I bought a sheet of linatex last time SS had a sale, but I've yet to cut into it so my first-hand experience with the stuff is very limited. I'm primarily a small ammo/light setup shooter and from what I've read linatex really likes the big heavy stuff. I really didn't "need" the linatex, but I figured I should have some around, you know, just in case... I also planned on putting it on some gift frames, but haven't done that yet either. It is a lot thicker that I was expecting. Depending on the age and strength of the kid, I think it might be a chore to draw back more than a very narrow cut.

If you have Linatex, I recommend saving it for adult use.

I'd band up the kid's shooter with red 1632. It's cheap, has an easy draw, very snappy, excellent lifespan, and easy to make bandsets. I use a lot of it myself. It's good for the kid in me!
