I have some off-cuts of oak flooring I got at our ReStore. Since they are 2-1/2 inches wide, I thought I should get around to making a PFS. And I needed to make a Lizard!

I used all the wood I could. Full width of the thin section that is 2-1/2 inches, All of the depth for the handle profile.

I cut it out with a handheld jigsaw and shaped it with a rasp and sandpaper. Sanded up to 400 grit and then wiped on a few coats of BLO.

She is comfortable in the hand and shoots as well as I can manage!

There's definitely a knack to shooting those wee things Ray, I've shot one aboot 8 times & 2 FH's that cracked 4-5mm thk micarta & the shock stung...I've put it away for noo!

Great slingshot.

I have some flooring samples I got just for making them into slingshots.

I need a way to cut the rough slingshot shape, that does not require a powered tool.

Can a coping saw work on these, or any other manual tools?

Coping saws work. They take a little practice. Start with some scrap material, or plan on making some scrap, LOL!
