hi
im new. started the hobby during lockdown. for some reason i cant do OTT. my TTF accuracy is on target or within 1 inch, recently mostly half an inch. my catapult is the wasp "wolf" the only sling i can shoot, especially as it has a 42m fork gap, i cant shoot TTF with a wide gap accurately for some reason. bit annoying since most slings seem to be OTT. hunted plenty of wood pigeon so far.

:)

Welcome!

I recently started too and have the Uniphoxx. Cannot say i am accurate but getting there slowly.

I started with (BAD) home made ply cat and was shooting that TTF, but with the uniphox am mainly shooting OTT.

May be time to switch over to TTF and finally decide which method I prefer.

Welcome! Like you I am new here and picked up slingshots as a pastime during this crazy year. Great for passing isolation time. I loved them and always had a classic wrist rocket around as a kid. Back now after a few decades away.

I think there are more than a few newish isolation inspired members here. Plus many long time members with lots of knowledge and experience. I am really enjoying the forum and hope you do as well.

Be careful though, a few months of this and "isolation made me buy a catapult" may change to "isolation made me get a dozen catapults"!

"Within one inch" at what distance? Are ALL the shots going to the same place, though one inch off the bull? We have a pill for that...

Are you aware that while shooting OTT your anchor would be higher than shooting TTF, and vice versa? That could be your situation - they don't shoot the same.

Welcome!

The Uniphoxx gap is too narrow for TTF. I've several of them (different colors, because I can), and they're among my favorite OTT slingshots out of about 2-3 dozen.

Give yourself more time with them before you give up - you might be pleasantly surprised.

Good choice! WASP makes good. economical slingshots (even with the shipping fee, especially when one buys several at a time). I have several "Uniphoxx" which I love, and one WASP "Stinger", which is too small for my hand.

Welcome to a great forum!

Good choice!

I've a skulk of " 'Phoxx's" of different colors inhabiting my residence and I LOVE them!!
