I'm fairly new to slingshots and have been trying to shoot a little everyday. These past few days the outside temperature has been 10-20 degrees where I live and the loss in performance is no joke. It seems as though the loss in velocity has to be at least 25%. I just ordered some precise anti cold bands and hope this helps.
I have been shooting Simpleshot black and theraband gold. The simple shot black isn't as bad as the theraband but both lose significant performance.

You should be fine whwn that anti cold gets to you. It is a bit different.

I usually stretch it a few before I carry it inside my jacket or before I shoot.
Jackets?? I heard about them. Never really seen one.

If it was cold enough to make my bands freeze up, think I"d retire to the Long Branch and have a snort of sour mash....or two..
