i use map gas in my *coffe can forge* for hardening blades, propane just took toooooooo long to get them up to temp,so if you need a bit more heat ,home depot sells the map gas in the same type container/bottle for just a few bucks more.Good luck will be watching to see how it goes, could be a game changer.

Ill hopefully see how it goes. These days my body has a certain amount to give, and when it comes down to it . Id rather shoot than build. But I enjoy both. I just cant go full steam and do both. Just put me out of the game for everything when I do. the wonders of aging

If you do get a mapp gas setup I'd recommend the variety with the hoses and small torch tip. That regular tip is a pressurized flaming beast! I run acetylene/oxygen on a Smith little torch, but that's for fine detail silver and gold work. There is the possibility that since I'm used to the smaller tips I'm just picky. The handheld, jet engine, melt glass variety might actually work just fine. But if you want a neat brazing well
