Usually, I avoid getting cheap no-name catapults for safety reasons, but recently I have been seeing some really nice resin and polycarbonate ones out of China. I caved in and bought one, surprised to find that they are actually pretty good!.

First of all, I paid for one but for some reason I received two! I ordered the marbled pink/sky blue/silver/gold one, but I opened the box surprised by a second transparent lavender one with a slightly different profile. I got both of these, along with a couple of bandsets and clay ammo for just $18 USD. Honestly, they feel pretty solid. I tried them with 0.45mm bands, clay ammo and BBs. I tried them with 0.75mm bands, and 11mm steel. I am confident that they can shrug off a couple of fork hits.

Anyway, I think they are just adorable. They look like candy. The marbled one isn't just painted, it actually is marbled resin. On top of that, they are really ergonomic. They lock in to the hand like olympic target shooting pistols! Have any of you own or have tried similar slingshots? I know nothing about them, who the maker is. I just know that I bought them here: Link to the Candy Slingshots

If anyone can chime in about their origins it would be much appreciated!

Good looking slingshots. Reminds me of a Heaven’s Emperor - although that is a hammer grip - but same pistol grip design.
So that's what they remind me of! I could not put my finger on it, but they looked familiar. They definitely are a similar form factor to the Heaven Emperor :D

These look like they'd be good for a beginner, ergonomic, nothing fancy, and a little bit of hand protection, too.

I'd definitely use these, I'd likely spray paint them beforehand though. They'd look good camo'd up. 👍
I have seen some that have sort of a camo finish already :D
