This is probably not what you had in mind, but...

Thrift shops - oak shelving (small decorative ones, but I only need 4'' X 6" or less). Cutting boards. Bamboo spoons.

Restore (associated with Habitat for Humanity) - solid wood floor boards - oak, pecan, etc.

My yard and neighboring woods for natural forks.

Nearby tree trimming piles for natural forks.

Home Depot for high quality (not construction grade) plywood, sandpaper, files, jigsaw blades, ect.

Other forum members - for trading exotica!

Marine Ply plywood is incredible stuff as well. It does not have any voids like regular plywood and is extremely strong. Ideal for making cores. A bit on the expensive side but am hoping I can scrounge up a few scraps from our local Yacht Builder.
