Mezzaluna restoration

Restoring a mezzaluna. To encourage Sandstorm restoration.
I found this one in a family property:



I decided to restore it, not to use it, cause I don't chop with this utensil, but as an homage to my elder people. The wood work was finished by a cabinet maker according to the original design.

Hi Ordo, beautiful restoration my friend. I do believe I’ll sit down with my knife tonight and clean a bit of grime off the handle gently (but not off the blade ). I’ll have to put a guard on the blade, it’s still has a bite! A cardboard sheath should be safe I think. I want to be extra careful not to damage that blade patina.
