The laughs are on me today. I tried to get 1mm Sheshou guru and 0.65mm Therband gold working together. Some experienced people would have known the end result. I got one or two shots out of them and snap. I should have read the forum first.

Here we go:

At least I got a few shots off. Here is what the 8mm lead looks like when it hits some solid particle board from the slingshot rifle travelling at 100m/s+.

Now to make a real bandset with with triple bands of 0.65. Theraband gold or GZK black. I will not mix them this time.

Jeez I feel stupid. Oh well live and learn.

Things look quite grim. I like to play the part of a jester sometimes. Maybe some blonde jokes. I am blonde. Take care all. :p

P.s I had a bugger of a day. my rifle forks were canted. Full windage to the right at 4 yards, you can see not much movement. The 8mm lead passed straight thru this material. Lucky it was not my glass back door.

I think I have fixed it, we will see.

Fork End

Butt end

The rifle twists a little on the two rods at this end. I have made it more level not perfect. But I hope my groups are better tomorrow.

A fellow slingshot rifle enthusiast comments brought to this my attention, the rifle twists because there is no slotted groove on the upgraded forks. These 90 degree cuts needed a lot of force to get the old forks on.

A picture of the old forks and rod ends.

The twist was with 1mm Sheshou guru and the combined bands. This leveling process was done late in the evening with a towel to prevent damage from a heavy duty vice.

I thought the Flymar A might be turn out to be dud but to my relief I found center. I need to make a descent catch box now so I can zero it in. I used clay 8mm's because the 8mm leads passed straight thru this material .

1) Before the leveling, shots are to to the left.

2) After leveling forks, coming in from the right. First shot was from the far right.

I will make it a bit like Joerg's Spraves The armored slingshot catchbox.
