I have been very pleased with the high quality of this Condor 1075 steel Golok that I bought a while back and decided to modify the blade shape to better fit the way I like to use it. It is 1/4" thick at the handle and tapers in thickness down to 1/8" at the tip. I cut it down in length from 14" blade to a 10 inch blade and gave it a strong tip for digging out roots and such. It is great for all kinds of camp duty like firewood and clearing out an area for a tent. The sheath I made from slingshot wood I had on hand and gave it a slab of leather to hang from my belt on a swivel. I finished the sheath with my special blend of beeswax and carnauba wax. This makes it very easy to fix up scratches and stuff from the woods. I really like it.
