Tin Liquid Drinkware Beverage can Aluminum can
Ok Got a General with 20-40 tubes, and experimented with the cocktail setup, my doubles i slipped inside the ends and tied with cotton, made a short setup, it pulls very smoothly feels like flatbands this way, at my pull ( 31"), shot this coffee can at around 3 yards, first with 5/8 marbles, they dented heavily wouldn't penetrate, the other holes was 3/8 hex nuts filled with lead, 200 grains-and very cheap, figures about 1 1/2 cents a shot, marbles about 1 cent, the hex nuts didn' even seem to slow down when going thru the can, What does this mean or prove???
I dunno, just something to do when bored.
Cocktail seems to shoot pretty darn fast- mebbe it's just optical, but neat anyway

Very very nice work with the rubber joinery! I just love shooting these Chinese style tubes. I'm gonna try some tubing from Reef Scuba here pretty soon. Well when I need to get more tubing that is. I've bought from them before and they are very nice people to deal with.
Did you just lay the nuts down and poor lead into them?

I just laid the nuts down on an old aluminum pan and melted lead strips with my propane torch and let it drip in them, the lead bonds good cause of the threads, and I buy the nuts at a farm store for around $1.25 a pound, get the lead from a stained glass shop, it's old stuff and they just have it all over the place, get it free, dirt and crud comes off when u melt it with torch, can use wheelweights too, can make a couple hundred in a hour or more if u hurry.

I think with a hexnut or some big lead balls, inside 10 yards, yes you can.. Give me a few days and I'll tell you for sure.. Got a brute of a hog around and I'm gonna get him soon.
But groundhogs are notoriously hard to kill.. So we shall see.

Ive done for a few ground hogs with headshots under 15 yards. 44 of 45 lead ball. Hardest part is being that close and being able to draw without being seen. Mine have all been in my gardens. I hide in the corn or sit in a row of tomato vines like a blind. Saves my beans and its a fun way to spend warm summer evenings.
Certainly better than TV.

I would assume it's the nut's smaller surface area and heavier mass that gives it an edge over lighter and bigger marbles. Even if shot at the same FPS, the PSI over the surface area will be very different. Trying shooting pee-wees and not mibs and see what happens. That is if pee-wee's don't explode on impact.
