I just had my best man come into town last night and be brought with him the very first bow I made 15 years ago. I made a laminating press and oven for this and a few recurves and long bows I use to make. It was one beefy little take down. He reminded me how much game we took with this bow. It was a nice walk down memory lane.

Thanks for looking.

just out of curiosity, do you ever shoot at BowHunters Unlimited, over in Steven's Creek.. www.bhuarchers.org
Yes! Exept for the poison oak, it was one of my favorit places to go. I would take just 3 arrows and jog between targets to get in shape before season. That is when Joe at Full Draw Archery (on Bascom, he's no more) and Trophy down the street (same fate) would help maintain the range. That was like 10-15 years ago. I would also shoot at Kings Mountain (HW84), Santa Teresa, and Mt. Madonna. I also shot out of Predator Archery in Gilroy; Mike and Curtis are good guys.

You made that yourself! That's a really good looking bow. What wood is it?
Stained and laminated Maple. You can make them out of all kinds of exotic woods also. The fiberglass makes them strong and durable. I have used bamboo and graphite laminates also.

Thanks for all the nice complements. I need to post a "how to" so you all can see how they are made. It's a fair amount of work, but it's fun.
