Hey all, I can't resist showing my first real frame here. I have an old dankung frame I used to shoot when camping, but never replaced the tubes when they broke. I made this yesterday out of some leftover 11/16" Baltic birch plywood and banded it today with some cheap .75 bands from Amazon until my order from GZK arrives.

I also have some 3/8" and 1/2" Baltic birch ply to use as core material and some thinner G10 and nice maple for knife scales so I am planning a few nicer future builds, hopefully I'll get my fork hits out of the way on this one!

Welcome! That is a beautiful frame. Should be a great shooter I did something very similar when I first started. I started the Journey of making many many slingshot still I got it perfect for me.

Much thanks to everyone!!! I just put about 40 rounds through it since I only had a few minutes of light after work and it shoots great. Ooh that feeling when I hit the can, I can feel an addiction forming!!

Thanks! I do have a bit, mostly on the lathe making tobacco pipes and other small projects, I plan on making a few knives as well.

Looking back I could have rounded the edges on this better with my dremel, I just found a great gatekeeper John video on how to do it. I guess another is in the near future!
