Gonna make my firs slingbow? Not sure if it counts as a bow but here is my items.
And alot of rubber/tubes. Will 1742 do for a normal carbon target arrow?
nice and simple. thats a good way to start. some people go for more technical slings with lasers, bells and whistles and thats fine (to each there own) but the more moving parts the more opportunity for things to brake. I think one of the beautiful things about slingshots is that they are so simple, and so effective.
Oki first setup. Found some 2055 tubing and put thru a 1636 tube (red) to make a taper effect. Made a paracord with knots put it into the tubes.
Whats left? Make paracord lanyard and tie the tubes in the right places.test and tune then make a hole new set of tubes coz the first one lacks power

Oki this didnt work out as well. The fork need rings if im gonna get some heavier bands on. Had to make a new cord and dloop came off. And with that a new bandet.. Now im wondering if im gonna make a spesific frame for this. Need to read up on frames.
Oki before i shoot this thing.
1) should i worrie about tubes hitting the arrow rest?
2) Should i use a glove?
3) what Else should i be afraid of?

Haaaaa a little disapointed. It worked, i hit my intended target but so underpowered. I have some general training bands but how heavy should it be. My setup was 15lbs not much i know. Any recomodations?

I went down this road Ubama and parked the project more than once. I even bought something that needed a winch to pull it back. THEN I saw a GZK video where the shooter uses a PickleFork Shooter, no whisker biscuit just the cup between the forks, and if course he is hitting flying dimes with it. I haven't tried one because I think I will need an wrist brace which could be a tough attachment to the OPFS. Here is an idea....keep building until you are satisfied!
Ive seen the vids of the pfs. Im shooting alot of pfs so more than enough to try. Im looking at that tunnel one with the biscuit inside. Want to make my own version in with pine core and carbon wrapping. Lets see what i got time for.

Oki, second attempt. Made from 2 plates of brich? Its mountain grown and quite dense.
Dried in microwave and cut. Glued with wood glue and shaped. Tested with 9mm steel and some bands i had lying around.
Gonna make some stronger band/tubes for arrow when i get of the mountain.
