Finally finished this one up for a neighbor across the road from me.
It had some pretty deep cracking in spots, that I filled / inlaid Turquoise and Aluminum shavings into, using CA Glue.
It is sanded to 800 grit, has 2 coats of Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil, buffed with a green Scotchbrite pad, then two coats of Johnson's paste wax rubbed in and buffed.

Def not Holly or magnolia. Its Ailanthus altissima. This is commonly called the tree of heaven. The bark is often described as resembling a cantaloupe rind. Did it smell like peanuts when you sanded it?
