Hello SlingshotForum friends!!

After an intermission time without carving (sucking all knowledge on blowguns this half of the year) I present my latest homemade one.

It was carved out from a wild olive tree branch, sturdy as a rock, and finished with linseed oil and beeswax. I wanted this one to don a bit of bark. So, to obey this, the design is not accurately symmetric.

About its name ...well, take it as you please.

As for me ...GOOD RIDDANCE!!

Hope you folks like it!! :)

See you in 2021!!

Thank you so much for your reply, sir!!

You're very kind!

Great job Q! I've always had a soft spot styled bark-on.
Really nice!
Me too! Haven't done enough bark-on slingshots yet.

Forks must have some certain conditions to do so though. Not every branch is doable.

Many thanks, my friend!!

Cheers ...Q

OH wow... That lady is calling softly to me. "Steve take me, I'm yours! I give you a peach and a pear and a pomegranatey too!"
LOL!!! What a kinky comment, If I ever read one!! :D

I'm glad you've liked it, sir!!

Best regards ...Q

Marvelous work!

That is a very elegant natural fork.
Thank you so much, KawKan!!

You're most kind!!

All the best, sir!

I have lots of great memories of olive branch forks, I grew up in and all around a huge olive orchard and canning company. Still to this day, they are my favorite :)
They're indeed one of my favourite natural medium to carve slingshots on!!

Sturdy, pliable with an impeccable finish. Also olive wood is not prone to insect infestations, making it very durable.

And that is very curious, sir. I thought olive tree orchards thrived only on Mediterranean-climate areas. Are you perhaps from California??

Many thanks for your feedback!!!

Cheers...Q

Seems like we've been waiting for a post to pull us out of this slump we've been in, and there you are with a beauty!!
Likin me some of that! Olive is my favorite and you did it up right. Thanks for pushing us out of 2020 my friend! Happy 21.
Oh sir...

THANK YOU so much. You flatter me beyond my wildest expectations!!

I was nothing but the hand and blade that guided Mother Nature's will. It went fine, I guess.

My expectations for next year are, in all fairness, low. The reason for that is I don't want nothing besides what is rightfully mine: my liberty and freedom of choice!

All the best to you and yours!!

Q

Amazing way to end the year!
Many thanks, StringSlap!!!

All ends well with a slingshot :D

Normal 2021!!

Best regards ...Q
