I have a question for those who shoot/make natural forks, which wood are best suited for heavy rubber bands and can handle stress best?
The wood that grow everywhere here in Sweden and is the easiest to obtain is willow / sallow, birch, ash, aspen, pine and spruce.
I personally believe that hardwood is best for manufacturing slingshots?

But I'd love to hear about your own experiences of you who make/made natural forks.
I simply want to experience a bit of my childhood again and make me a simple but powerful slingshot of an natural wooden fork

no hi-tech at all, just an ordinary simple slingshot!

Thanks in advance!
Sincerely Jorgen ...

Hardwood is the best like Birch or Ash. I like the native Mesquite here in Texas. -- Tex
