Managed to find this spalted oak fork in the woods last Wednesday. Powerful shooter.






Heavy tin can did two flips in the air when hit with a marble.

Beautiful fork you have there. I hope to find a nice, straight one like that this Spring. All my naturals are ergos.

you know, guys. . .

I'm aware that this slingshot is no artistic wonder. But it is a tool, and it does its job very well. Which was my goal. I put a heavy tin on top of a cardboard box that was about one foot deep, and shot marbles and small stones at it. I (who am no terrific marksman) was able straightaway to shoot at my best with it.
But what was most surprising to me is that when I took the box indoors afterwards I noticed that my missed shots that were low went right through the box!
That's pretty powerful. I have stripped the bands and added several layers of clear plastic coating to the fork. Next will come a set of double gold thera-band.
This is a real hunting tool.
