Hello Slingshot Forum friends!!

I present my latest hand carved frame in acacia wood (Acacia dealbata), the "Butterscotch"

Since this one has a kind of caramel colour and it's going to my friend Trap1, which lives in Scotland, I've chosen this name!

It was finished with linseed oil and acrylic varnish, which is a first try for me.

Hope you like it!!!!

Cheers ...Q

That's got a beautiful finish to it :headbang:
THANK YOU so much for your feedback, my friend!!!

This time I've experimented a non-natural finish. It is a semi-gloss acrylic varnish

Best regards ...Q

It's so nice, this makes me want to try making a natural.

MANY THANKS for your comment, my friend!!

Making a natural slingshot it's all an adventure, from harvesting the raw fork until the final varnish coats

You should try it!!

MANY THANKS, my friend!!

You're most kind

I've been fiddling with some new finishes, but I think it came out nicely.

THANK YOU, my friend!!

Just the wood in itself has that ability, like some iridescent property. But adding the acrylic varnish enhanced that a bit!!!

I'm glad you've liked it, SLING-N-SHOT!!!

Hope everything's fine!!

You did it again ! Very nice .
Many thanks, Treefork!!

I'm glad you've liked it

Regarding the post about the dart quiver: yes, I've heard about the neck position. Seems to be a target practice position, with a small quiver. This one is a bit larger than those I've seen being carried in that fashion. Perhaps I should try to fasten it to the leg, holster type.

Many thanks for your feedback on that!!

Q

Yet another one for me to study.
Love it Mr Q.
LOL!!! You, sir, are the artist!!!

THANK YOU so much for such a rewarding reply!!
