Hello Slingshot Forum friends!!!

Here's my latest natural frame, already completed and ready to be sent on a trade. Carved out from a very matured acacia tree fork (Acacia dealbata), it was finished with linseed oil and natural beeswax. The bands are my customary taper for 5 grams glass marbles, but were only placed for testing this weekend. After that, they will fly unbanded to its new owner. The shape, form and colour of this slingshot reminds me of bones, hence the name "Cross Bone".

Hope you folks like it!!

Cheers ...Q

Once again you proved that the way you cooperate with the Nature is unparalleled and amazing!

I really like your work!

cheers,

jazz
Oh sir!! THANK YOU very much for such a rewarding comment!!

In fact, doing a slingshot out of an acacia fork is cooperating with Nature in more than one way.

Acacia trees and shrubs here are a real invasive species. Cutting and pruning them is in fact encouraged by authorities.

Hope everything's well, my friend :)

Best regards ...Q

She's a beauty my friend. Nice swirled grain in there.
Many thanks, Ibojoe!!!

Although not one of the noblest woods, acacia has some valuable patterns when finished. Also it is quite robust for such a light wood.
