Hello SlingshotForum friends

Here's my latest natural frame, carved out from a veritable and proper piece of Portuguese oak (Quercus faginea)

This time it was finished with linseed oil and some layers of shellac. Being a very dry and matured piece of oak, it took this finish very well.

This one will be sent also as part of a trade, from which the recipient has no knowledge yet! :D Hope he likes it!!

Thanks for watching!!

Very "Woodsy" looking!! Well done!!
Thank you so much, my friend!!

I find that shellac in the right amount can bright up a wood piece, without taking its natural character.

You know? There is just something about a beautifully worked piece of wood that beats everything else hands down! For me anyway.
