When I was a kid, I would scour the neighborhood park, get a fork, put some rubber bands on it and break it shortly thereafter. They never did last very much and I would always go back to my Wham O. So, naturals suck…that is what I thought before I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago
Since then I have been browsing the tutorials and the gallery, along with looking at some of the posts and pictures. I have seen some very, very beautiful naturals…Chepo, Bob Fionda, Burnett, flippin, and several others. There are so many, many people who just do great work with natural raw material. I think in many cases the pictures may not do their work justice.
So, where am I now? Converted…au natural…and looking forward to learning from the best!!
Glad to hear you've re considered lol, yes they're are many very talented natural forkists on this forum... its not too often I make naturals these days, but when I do theres always something unique and satisfying about the finished product, being maybe the way the frame fits your hand, to unique grains and colors... look forward to seeing some.. cheers
i used to feel that in some way a natural would in some way be inferior for the same reasons, mine used to break too, i am in the process of rebanding 3 of Chepo's and 3 of Ethans just because they are just as nice, and in a very real way naturals just feel "natural" in the hand! i am banding each differently so that i can try different bands and tubes on the natty's.
these 3 from Ethan
and these 3 from Chepo69
I saw the title of this post and thought, what how dare they say that how can naturals suck, what is this guy on to make him think they suck, now though I can see why you thought that and am glad you changed your mind. hope to see some naturals of yours when you decide to make one.
