I'm getting ready to place my very first tube order and need a lot of advice. I want to pick up some 1632, some 2040 and some 3050. Then some other sizes if you guys recommend them. I shoot everything from bb's to 5/8 marbles, clay, steel, lead, hex nuts, rocks, you name it.
Where should I order from?
I do use Amazon a lot if you have links or a particular brand that beats the rest?

Is this the 3050 that you guys recommend or one that I should stay away from?

I have a few tube shooters and I want to make a set up like this set on my SPS for a back up. Then I'm going to make a 3050 frame-less and some others also. I have lots of paracord for sleeves and I'm going to make a couple Double Pouch frame-less in the different sizes also.
Where can I get the best 5 hole pouches for the loop tubes like on my SPS? I just want a couple to test. I have a bunch of Rayshots Pouches ready to tube up, I just really need to be pointed to the right supplier or suppliers. Simple Shot is out of stock, one only offers a couple sizes of gzk. There's so much on Amazon that I'm lost basically because I don't want to buy them all just to test. Grampa Grumpy helped me out some already and I want to say Thanks Grampa

Thanks, I checked out sling-tech, they just have 1632 & 1842 gzk. I will look at Double L next
I see lots of people raving about the 3050 and I mostly just want to experiment with some different sizes of tubes and I have some other brands of flat band that I just need... lol

Hi reed, im the same when it comes to tubes I dont know what to order. I had a chart & when i ordered what i thought I'd need for my shooting style I got it drastically wrong, ended up with the heaviest tubes ive ever seen. They are measured differently here ,metric, so I dont have the conversion chart to know what size you guys are talking about, but I will find one and watch this thread closely.
Ps. We switched to eu in 87 & metric, I was already balls deep with imperial measurements, ir so I thought!!

I started with 1632 and 1842 and like them both. I then bumped up to 3050 and definitely like that better than the 1842 for my 8 mm and 3/8" shooting. The 1632 works great for anyting 8 mm or smaller depending on how you configure the tubes to the slingshot.

I shoot straight tube only for convenience and have definitely found that the 3050 is very versatile from anywhere from 8mm up to 7/16" straight when I shot it with my Starship. Don't know if I would use tubes for hunting but for Target they last forever and they definitely move the ammo plenty fast.

Welcome back Vince We missed you for those few days, are you full of curry? Where did you buy your 3050? And what brand?

Glad to be back Reed, I actually put Curry on my eggs today. Not really my favorite flavor but since I couldn't taste them anyway it was better then having it taste like mushy cardboard. I have never not been hungry in my life and so does the strange situation to not want to eat. But very fatty foods like avocado and fried foods I seem to really want to eat so I'm going with those for now.

I get my tubes from slingshooting.com and they only have the one brand of tubes one of the major Chinese to Makers. Definitely happy with tubes from slingshooting.com very good quality never had an issue.

I placed an order on slingshooting.com last night, mostly a bunch of their experimental flat bands and some full rolls of BSB White and a 3050. Being able to order a set of bands instead of just buying a full roll to test with was a bit expensive, but it saved a lot of money over full rolls and I was able to buy some brands that I wouldn't want to buy a whole roll of to test for a whole lot less. I can make my own tapers when they get here.

A couple of members are sending me tubes in different sizes for me to work with and see how I like the sizes and I just want to give a shout out and say Thank's to all of you for making this forum such a great place

Here's a picture of the experimental band part of the order... and nope, I didn't buy any new slingshots
