They will fly way better. Push the ball as close to the tip as possible.
Yes, as close as the tip! Or maybe glue on some foam fins on the tail if used for slingshots!

Grown up men buying toy foam bullets?? We want the adult weaponized version!

My only concern is, the tip might break off from the extra weight behind, the momentum. Risking a wild steel ball shot.

I love those suction cup darts!

I found that if you remove the cone off of the CS stun dart and stick it into the back of the nerf dart it works very well . Shoots very fast . I imagine you can still shove a steel bearing down to the nose and would be even better . Harder hitting with a more stable flight .
I tried stuffing my HDPE cones into the foam darts on the first day I received them, totally messed up the flight, yes, they shot really hard! But broke off one of the rubber tips.

But that's without a steel ball in front. Need to experiment again, thanks for your suggestion!

Nerf darts are small foam projectiles designed for use with Nerf blasters and other Nerf toys. They are typically made of a soft foam material that is safe for indoor play and won't cause any harm to people or property when fired.
Nerf darts come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but most are designed to be aerodynamic and travel long distances when fired from a Nerf blaster. Some darts feature suction cups on the ends, which allow them to stick to certain surfaces, while others have whistle tips that produce a whistling sound as they fly through the air.
Overall, Nerf darts are a popular and safe option for kids and adults who enjoy Nerf toys and games. However, it is important to use Nerf toys responsibly and follow all safety guidelines to avoid any accidents or injuries.
