Here's a couple that I recently got and have been tweaking. The top one has a 10" barrel, brass power adjuster, extended brass flow through probe, steel safety, Benjamin grips, brass trigger with polished sear, enlarged valve exhaust and transfer port, 3D printed moderator, replaced all stock screws with hex socket screws and an extended custom aluminum breach.

The bottom one is a Crooked Barn Tomcat that I just resealed. Has a custom extended aluminum breech, 14" barrel, custom bolt handle, extended probe, custom grips, hammer spring guide and replaced all factory screws with stainless hex socket screws.

I love working on these 2240's. Parts are readily available and they are pretty easy to work on. The Tomcat is running at 10 ft lbs and is a bunny buster out to 30 yards. The other is doing 7-8 ft lbs so would keep things to around 20 yards.

I used to enjoy the 22xx airguns. just got to the point that they collecting dust and I was shooting slingshots exclusively so I rehomed them. Have an older-ish pumper on the wall right now that I bought to fix up but is just sitting as I grab something rubber powered, I might re-home it soon too.

anyway those 2240s are beautiful and I bet they are a blast to take to the range :)

i have got to show this to my son in law,he and his brother rebuild air guns for a hobby, but nothing like these, may give them a new challenge, and my old pumper fixed up too,LOL
Parts are readily available on ebay. The base gun is either $65 or $99, depending on the variant. The $99 version already has some of the upgrades. Best bet is to try to find ratty old ones as cheap as possible. You can easily dump over $200 in aftermarket parts into one. So you build these for fun, not profit! If they do build any (youTube is a great resource) don't put high performance valves in anything with less than an 18" barrel. It will sound impressive, but really only wasting a huge amount of CO2.
