I found this blue Lowes 5 gal. bucket on the dumpster and thought I would try a small catchbox (catch bucket). works great and I can put it on the ground or where it is to practice different angles. That gray 30mm spinner at the bottom of the white container is titanium...love it! I kind of do an around the world hitting different targets.

Yes I do like it but I need to reinforce the fabric because they're bouncing straight back out. I will try a heavier fabric to see if that slows it down. I'm also switching to 8 mm steel next week so that should have less energy to bounce back out.

Anxious to see and hear more about how this works out. I have a feeling that you are going to want softer fabric than firmer. I used to use a think bed mattress cover as a back stop and got a lot more bounces than just a simple cotton pillowcase. I wonder if this would be a good place to use a mop head as the catch in the bottom of the bucket?

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I use 2-3 bits of thin firestone rubber sheet (1.5" apart & heavy for its thickness,) left over from the roofing on one of my dormer's. I punch a couple of brass eyelets through it at the corners & hang it with small tie wraps.. it stops ammo well & very tough. If you know of any roofing co's that use this stuff give them a buzz.. they have plenty scrap offcuts!

The white catch box looks a lot like mine. A heavy white plastic container that was used for chemicals to sterilize surgery instruments at the hospital I work at. Mine has a handle on top that makes it easy to move around.
Yes mine is from a shop it held degreaser that smells like Simple Green. I have the spinners on the outer edge of the doors, seemed like a good idea at the time but when I hit the red chicken head it sends the ammo flying all over the place. I will have to move back into the main body of the container to stop all the fly aways.

cheers
