I found a nice piece of wood on the beach, i think it came off a boat, i have no idea what type it is, so i have decided to make my 1st cut out slingshot (catapult), i aways use branch forks so looking foward to doing it, the only tools i have is a small jigsaw and a old wood file, so it mite take a while ha ha, here is what i have done yesterday will put up the finshed job when done, it feels nice in the hand,cheers jeff,

I like a small catapult, easyer for me when hunting, i like to hunt close range, i wont shoot out i cant kill clean, unless i have one of my lurchers with me, i love that one on your profile, jeff

Looks like a piece of Pine to me-Mr. Shot in the foot. Like that frame Bud! Small ,chunky and the rounded handle will provide a good grip. Sand it up nice, paint or seal it and rig it and start shooting!!!!
