A respirator is a must. Other than that I can't really help. Just ordered some myself to try my hand at. So I'll be looking forward to replies too. Lol

have any tips, tricks or, recommendations before i jump in?Hey guys i want really sure where to post this but i want to step my crafting game up and start working with Micarta and G10. Do y'all have any tips, tricks or, recommendations before i jump in?
Yea this would have also been a great tip to hear right before my second marriage. Here is a lesson learned.
Friend brought me two scorpions which I stuck in the freezer. Wanted to make one of those half round (igloo?) paper weights. Got the round hemisphere ready .. The only resin I had on hand was Bondo which has a slight green cast. Instead of waiting and getting some clear, I used what I had. Got the orb filled half way, remembered to put the frozen critters in upside down, filled 'er up! I now have a paper weight with two scorpions in it that you might could see if you shined a gazillion candle power lamp on it.
Lesson: If you use material that you don't want, you are going to end up with a finish you don't want.
