Just curious what you guys plan on using when the cold weather finally gets here. I still have a bunch of cold weather precise left over from last yea, but I don't know what I'll be rolling with when I go out this year. Probably the same as usual, tapered cocktails and .44 cal lead unless something changes.

So, how will you guys deal with the chill?

I'm in Southern California so cold in the winter is in the high 50s and low 60s Fahrenheit. Shoot the same tubes year round.

Same bands but I will probably wear a hoodie.

i will be shooting the new SS .06 and .08 when it gets really cold [40-50 degres] in jan/feb,but TBG and tubes till then,that is IF i venture out of the house,lol

I usually shoot same bands that's on whatever, got few with cold bands, I wear lots layers, and usually top it off with big baggy hoodie, and take 3 or 4 catty, and pocket full of whatever I'm gonna shoot, when pocket is empty, go in warm up fill pocket===repeat, mebbe 3 times, do this sometimes few times a day, depends on rain, snow, wind, temp, whatever, and then also I shoot my pellet, air rifles quite a it too, gotta be outside gotta be, I'm old, can't stand the crap on tv., gotta be outside.

Yeah, I hunted with and shot a Howard Hill Big 5 longbow for around 10 yrs, but my shoulder gave up on me, sold it, had many others too, but loved my Big 5 and cedar arrows, always had a catty in my gear, pocket tho.

My Big 5 was one of the last Howard made before he passed away.

I was out this morning at about 6:15 and needed a flashlight. I was amazed at the moisture in the air that shimmered in the light. I had a piece of paper outside with me yesterday evening that was limp after a 5min conversation with a neighbor. It doesn't get that cold out here in N. Carolina in the piedmont as far as I've seen so far. But the air is wet even on a dry day. If I dipped my tubes or bands in a bucket of water, how poorly would it shoot compared to dry?

Heck yea, and raised my kids the same way
Slingshots, air guns, bows and arrows, spears, stars, knives, swords, blow guns, firearms - black powder & smokeless, tnt, blasting explosives and even throwing axe competitions and antique chainsaws... Gotta have some fun in life

This will be my first winter shooting anything, but ive bought & made a whole arsenal of fun stuff to see me through with my ftp 900 target rifle my most extravagant outlay, but cos of the virus all clubs are closed and hft meets called off.
Yet to experience problems with bands due to cold weather & I live in SE England, but at this early stage in my slingshot journey all ive purchased is tbg, .76gzk, .7bsb, and just got some light .45 sumike. Been busting that indoors, but I think thats cos of wrong ammo size
